Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that can also promote healing. It works with the body’s natural energy field by bringing balance to the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is simple, all natural, and safe, and can bring about a deep sense of peace and relaxation to the mind and body.
Unlike traditional therapies, Reiki naturally addresses the whole person including body, mind, emotions, and spirit. This holistic approach inherent to Reiki can create many beneficial effects that can include feelings of relaxation and peace, releasing of stuck emotions, an improved sense of well-being, and even the diminishing of pain.
Natural, gentle, and non-invasive, Reiki is a powerful method of energy healing. There are many benefits of Reiki but perhaps the biggest benefit is deep relaxation. When you allow yourself the opportunity (and permission) to deeply relax, it gives the body the chance to recuperate and rejuvenate the vital life force energies that directly impact the quality of your life. During a reiki session, tensions relax and healing energies flow bringing balance back to mind, body, and spirit. And because you are in a relaxed and receptive state during a Reiki session, you may receive intuitive insights and guidance that can aid your daily life.
What do you want to get out of your Reiki session? Although Reiki energy is intelligent and flows to where it is needed without any guidance from you or your practitioner, it is always helpful to come to your Reiki session with an intention. The intention helps direct the flow of Reiki energy to the areas that are of most concern to you, focusing these energies to help bring greater awareness and balance. Below is a sample list of intentions from which you can choose, or you can create your own to bring to your Reiki session. Come with an intention: Clear away blocks (this may happen by bring them more keenly into your awareness!) Release that which no longer serves Gain clarity on a situation Balance energies Connect more deeply with Spirit/Source and your inner wisdom Release anxiety Let go of fear Find your center Whatever is best for me at this time What is a Reiki session like? All of our Reiki sessions are virtual and begin with a review of your intention. Once we have a clear intention, you’ll have the chance to settle in for your reiki session. Once settled, the Reiki session will begin. The reiki session will last about 40 minutes. Afterwards, you will regroup with your practitioner to review any impressions or insights received during the session and then close the session.
